Thank you for coming out to our fieldtrip last weekend!!

We want to thank everyone who came out to meet us and partcipate in last weekend’s photography fieldtrip.  We had the opportunity to meet and spend the day with an extremely talented and fabulous group of people.  We had an absolutely fantastic time and could not have asked for better weather to top it all off.  We are still enjoying the day as many of the day’s pictures are being shared on our Facebook page.  Once again, thank you so much for coming out to join us and we’re looking forward to the start of the Fall season next weekend!!

The “Shoot Share & Discover…Us!!” Photography Fieldtrip

Are you wondering who we are and what all the buzz is about? Are you searching for something motivating and exciting to do? Are you considering going into hibernation this Fall? It’s time to get your Fall started off on the right foot and make sure it’s a fun one…

We’re offering a free guided photography fieldtrip on Saturday, September 10th, 2011. Come out and meet us and get your creative juices flowing by realizing some very fun photography projects while meeting other photographers and great new people. It’s motivating, it’s fun, it’s a great distraction and you’ll finish the day with a whole new series of exciting photos you can share with your family and friends!

We want to meet you and we want to show you what we’re all about. We love meeting new people, socializing and hearing your stories so we’ll also be going out for drinks and dinner at the end of a great afternoon of photography. You’ll have a chance to meet past and current workshop participants and share your passion for photography and life.

It’s a Win-Win day because we like it that way… You win because you’ll have an inspiring day of guided shooting at no charge, you’ll meet new friends, you’ll find out what we’re all about, who we are, you’ll get that camera out of the drawer and go home with fun pictures… We win because we get to show you in person what we do and who we are, we get to meet fun new people, spend time with past and current participants, and we get to have a great day all around!!

We will be going out for dinner and drinks following the fieldtrip. If you are unable to attend the fieldtrip, you may still come out and meet us for dinner.

We’re very excited to announce that once again our end of season photography exhibit and show was a huge success!! Thank you to all the participants of the Spring 2011 Shoot & Share Photography Workshop, to family and friends, and to all of you who came out to support and participate in the event. WOW! What a success! What a night! Honestly, I didn’t want it to end!…….

Once again a BIG thank you to Kharim and Sonya! Thank you for another fun, inspiring and challenging workshop! Thank you for giving us an opportunity to be ourselves, to open our mind and soul, to truly be as great photographers and artists as we ARE! Hi Kharim!

I am very excited….today I am taking a step I never thought I would have the courage to do…  I am registering my own business!  I cannot express to you how meeting you and taking your classes has changed my life and the way I see things.  You have somehow managed to awake in me a true passion and drive I thought I had lost. 

I have met amazing people through your workshops and for all of this I am truly grateful Kharim. I know I say this to you a lot but thank you to you and Sonya for truly making a difference.  I already have about 2 or 3 friends that will probably sign up to the next shoot & share because of what it has done for me.  Can’t wait to see everyone’s work tomorrow…..I promise I will keep my excitement to a minimum this time.

I’m very excited and happy to officially announce the addition of Sonya Rodier to my team. I was a team of one and now we are two instructors in every class and workshop to ensure that everyone has access to as much individual attention and instruction as possible! Sonya has been working with me throughout 2009 and is now officially on board.

With two instructors you will receive the benefits of accelerated learning and much more hands-on instruction. I will continue to head up and teach all classes and workshops and Sonya will be there as well to fill in the blanks and make sure everyone is following, having fun and becoming much more confident in their skills and abilities.

Look for the Summer 2009 schedule later this month!!

Geez it’s been forever since I’ve posted an update. My apologies! This year has been very busy so I’m behind on the updates. But, great news…there WILL be a series of courses and workshops given this summer!! So if you’re looking to distract yourself from the day to day stress, look for a fun photography workshop coming this summer for something different, relaxing, and fun!

If you’ve been looking forward to learning how to use your camera and take full advantage of all that it offers, come join us for a Basics I class this summer (details will be posted later this month).

There are also plans for a Photography Camp for Kids this summer. Do you need a break or some time to yourself? Send the kids to a fun and creative photography camp while you enjoy some peace and quiet!!

How much experience do you need to take the Basics classes? None!!

I often get asked how much photography knowledge is required to take the beginner level classes. We start from the very beginning. You don’t even have to have ever taken a picture in your life to sign up for Basics I. You will learn from the ground up and the more questions you have in class, the better. Even if you have no questions at all because you don’t know where to start, we’re here to guide you and we take the time you need to figure it out. It’s fun because it’s relaxed and everyone learns! So don’t be shy…come out and learn, ask questions, and have fun!

Wow, can you believe it? The winter is half over already. Seems just the other day we were celebrating the new year!! Well we haven’t been wasting any time. The winter session courses are in full swing, the shutters are snapping, more friendships are forming and smiles are happening. We’ve been busy! We’re learning, making friends and having fun. We’re enjoying the winter over here. Wanna join us? We’re a friendly bunch. The more smiles, the merrier.

Yahoo!!! I’m really excited. Everyone’s been making new friends with a common interest in class and then after the classes, you all go out and shoot and share your photos with me. You asked for more ways to continue the fun, the learning and the sharing and now you have it!

The new Photo Forum is available to anyone who has taken a class or workshop and will now be an added bonus to new course participants as well. Continue the learning, come ask questions, post your photos, tell us about yourself, tell us your news, come meet us, share with us, laugh with us and inspire us!

Interested in a Summer Photography Workshop this August?

As I have said, if there is demand for something, I will do my best to offer it. I have received requests to offer a shooting workshop this summer and so it shall be. If you are interested in getting out to shoot outdoors in a workshop setting, please watch this space for more details to come this month about a new Summer Photography Workshop this August!! I am organizing a fun workshop where you will have the opportunity to shoot for several hours in a rural setting. Come out and shoot people, nature, sports/action photography as well as rustic scenes, textures and pretty much anything you can think of.

The last of the Spring session courses

For those of you who have been calling about courses for this month, and anyone else who missed the courses in May, there is good news!! I will be offering the Basics I course at the end of June as well as the Techniques I course a week later in early July. This is the end of the Spring session courses.

Thanks to everyone who called and begged for another set of courses before the summer. It’s been a busy season for me so it wasn’t looking like there was going to be time to offer courses this month. But I’ve been able to squeeze in a couple of courses at the last minute. So get out your cameras and get ready for some great summer shooting!

There will be no courses or workshops offered in July so now is the time to sign up if you are looking for a class before the summer holidays!!

Thank you to everyone who has participated in my classes and workshops so far this year! I’ve been having a fantastic time and so much fun with all of you. It’s really great to see and share in all the excitement and enthusiasm you have been bringing to the courses. The pictures you have been sharing with me afterwards are really truly inspiring. It’s so nice to see how quickly you have grasped the concepts and how much fun you are all having armed with new knowledge and techniques.

I have to admit that I never thought that teaching would be this much fun! So I really do want to thank everyone who has participated so far because these courses and workshops have exceeded my expectations and the results in your photographic pursuits make me proud. Thanks also for all the great ideas you have given me throughout the winter and spring sessions. Congratulations to everyone!!

A new, intensive workshop has just been added by special request and was designed to meet the needs of those who requested it. There are only a few seats left in this workshop.

Are you interested in photography classes and workshops in St-Lazare?

All group courses and workshops are currently being given in Kirkland on the West Island. If you would like to see courses offered in the St-Lazare/Vaudreuil area, please let me know. If there is enough interest for the courses to be given in this area, I will offer them here (since I’m in St-Lazare as well). Send me an email expressing your interest or specify your interest by signing up for the mailing list on the Contact page.

St-Lazare Photography Club

St-Lazare now has its own photography club which was started in the Fall of 2007. The St-Lazare Photo Club is growing very quickly and presently has over 50 regular members. Membership to the club is free and all are welcome. Meetings are held every second week, Monday evenings from 7-9pm, at the St-Lazare Community Centre.
