Summer courses and workshops
We are currently looking at offering a session of our Basics I photography course in time for your summer photography activities. There is a possibility of this course being offered either in mid-June 2010 or early July 2010. Look for the Summer 2009 schedule later this month!!
Geez it's been forever since I've posted an update. My apologies! This year has been very busy so I'm behind on the updates. But, great news...there WILL be a series of courses and workshops given this summer!! So if you're looking to distract yourself from the day to day stress, look for a fun photography workshop coming this summer for something different, relaxing, and fun!
If you've been looking forward to learning how to use your camera and take full advantage of all that it offers, come join us for a Basics I class this summer (details will be posted later this month).

How much experience do you need to take the Basics classes? None!!
I often get asked how much photography knowledge is required to take the beginner level classes. We start from the very beginning. You don't even have to have ever taken a picture in your life to sign up for Basics I. You will learn from the ground up and the more questions you have in class, the better. Even if you have no questions at all because you don't know where to start, we're here to guide you and we take the time you need to figure it out. It's fun because it's relaxed and everyone learns! Wow, can you believe it? The winter is half over already. Seems just the other day we were celebrating the new year!! Well we haven't been wasting any time. The winter session courses are in full swing, the shutters are snapping, more friendships are forming and smiles are happening. We've been busy! We're learning, making friends and having fun. Interested in a Summer Photography Workshop this August?
As I have said, if there is demand for something, I will do my best to offer it. I have received requests to offer a shooting workshop this summer and so it shall be. If you are interested in getting out to shoot outdoors in a workshop setting, please watch this space for more details to come this month about a new Summer Photography Workshop this August!! I am organizing a fun workshop where you will have the opportunity to shoot for several hours in a rural setting. Come out and shoot people, nature, sports/action photography as well as rustic scenes, textures and pretty much anything you can think of.

The last of the Spring session courses
For those of you who have been calling about courses for this month, and anyone else who missed the courses in May, there is good news!! I will be offering the Basics I course at the end of June as well as the Techniques I course a week later in early July. This is the end of the Spring session courses.
Thanks to everyone who called and begged for another set of courses before the summer. It's been a busy season for me so it wasn't looking like there was going to be time to offer courses this month. But I've been able to squeeze in a couple of courses at the last minute. So get out your cameras and get ready for some great summer shooting!
There will be no courses or workshops offered in July so now is the time to sign up if you are looking for a class before the summer holidays!!

Thank you to everyone who has participated in my classes and workshops so far this year! I've been having a fantastic time and so much fun with all of you. It's really great to see and share in all the excitement and enthusiasm you have been bringing to the courses. The pictures you have been sharing with me afterwards are really truly inspiring. It's so nice to see how quickly you have grasped the concepts and how much fun you are all having armed with new knowledge and techniques.
I have to admit that I never thought that teaching would be this much fun! So I really do want to thank everyone who has participated so far because these courses and workshops have exceeded my expectations and the results in your photographic pursuits make me proud. Thanks also for all the great ideas you have given me throughout the winter and spring sessions. Congratulations to everyone!!

Well, I've been quietly enjoying the emails I receive from students who have participated in the courses and workshops. I thought it would be fun to share some of these with you. The April and May photography courses and workshops are now posted !!!
Get ready for the summer... Tired of shoveling snow? Come have some fun learning the ins and outs of your new camera and be prepared for the summer! A new series of exciting photography classes and workshops has just been posted. We've been having alot of fun in the winter session courses. All classes are hands-on so you won't be walking away trying to remember what was said in class. You learn by doing!

New course dates for the Intensive Portraiture Workshop!!!
Please note that the Intensive Portraiture Workshop originally scheduled to begin on February 29th has been postponed to March 14th to better accomodate all participants. Please see the Workshops page for the new dates.
There are still 2 seats available for the Intensive Portraiture Workshop. If you are interested, please register by March 9th at the latest.

Would you like to see classes and/or workshops offered in French?
Please do not hesitate to contact me with your suggestions and feedback on the courses and workshops being offered. New classes are being added based on demand. If there's lots of interest for a particular class or workshop topic, the chances are very high you will see it offered sooner than later. So please keep letting me know what you're looking for... :)

New courses to be offered in March !!!
Due to multiple requests, a new set of courses and workshops has been added and will take place in March!!

As always, if you have any special requests for specific classes, don't be shy. Please contact me and let me know what you'd like to see added. A new, intensive workshop has just been added by special request and was designed to meet the needs of those who requested it. There are only a few seats left in this workshop.

Are you interested in photography classes and workshops in St-Lazare?
All group courses and workshops are currently being given in Kirkland on the West Island. If you would like to see courses offered in the St-Lazare/Vaudreuil area, please let me know. If there is enough interest for the courses to be given in this area, I will offer them here (since I'm in St-Lazare as well). Send me an email expressing your interest or specify your interest by signing up for the mailing list on the Contact page.
St-Lazare Photography Club
St-Lazare now has its own photography club which was started in the Fall of 2007. The St-Lazare Photo Club is growing very quickly and presently has over 50 regular members. Membership to the club is free and all are welcome. Meetings are held every second week, Monday evenings from 7-9pm, at the St-Lazare Community Centre.
